Bristol band Coasts returned to Southampton as part of their recent UK tour, bringing their indie/alternative sound to a packed-out Engine Rooms.

The crowd cheered as the five-piece took to the stage before kicking off their energetic set with Tonight, a track from their 2016 self-titled debut album, followed by Heart Starts Beating from their most recent album, This Life, Vol.1.

Coasts performed several songs from each album, including Let Me Love You and older songs, A Rush of Blood and Your Soul.

It was clear to see the band were enjoying themselves from the moment they stepped on stage – their interaction with one another made for an energy-filled set, which was only enhanced by lead singer Chris Caines’ ability to interact and encourage the audience to join in singing, clapping and dancing.

You closed the set, before Coasts returned for an encore of three songs – Modern Love and Take Me Back Home, before ending the night with their most popular release and incredibly catchy Oceans which left the crowd elated.
