With less than a month to go until some of the biggest names in EDM assemble on Clapham Common for South West Four, we’ve been casting our eye over the stellar line-up to pick a few not-to-be-missed acts. With headline sets from the likes of Knife Party, Deadmau5, Pendulum, and Tinie Tempah, the event maintains its reputation for booking huge acts. Dancehall meets pared-back drum ‘n’ bass in this gem from Sub Focus with vocals from Stylo G. No further words required – just try staying still while listening to it. Probably not possible…
Sub Focus – Lingua
It’s been way too long since we heard something new from Sub Focus (Nick Douwma), but when this dropped last month, it was not only long-awaited but also hugely surprising as it represents a major departure from pretty much all of his previous work. (Oh and he’s grown his hair quite long too – what’s going on with the world?!)

Sub Focus – Love Divine
Back with an intriguing, experimental sound – and a beautifully simple and mesmerising video – electronic duo Alpines have released Completely.
It’s the first new material from Kingston upon Thames’ own Catherine Pockson and Bob Matthews for a couple of years (since 2014 debut album Oasis in fact) and raises hopes of more similarly cracking stuff to come.
The artistic masterpiece of a vid was shot at Dungeness, Kent, a place we love because a) Athlete wrote a song about it, 2) Hot Chip also filmed an amazing video there, and c) it’s just incredible in an other-worldly kind of way.
